Now that the new level 1 and level 2 credentials are connected to your Electronic Identity Card (CIE), it is even easier and faster to access online services of the Public Administration and private individuals allowing access with the “Entra con CIE” button.
The access with a CIE to online services offered by the Public Administration and private individuals has so far been possible only by using the highest security level (level 3), which requires a reader or an NFC-enabled smartphone.
With the new 1 and 2 level credentials all citizens who are in possession of a CIE can now access online services just in a few steps and from any device by simply activating a pair of credentials (username and password).
Besides, you are not requested to have the Electronic Identity Card physically with you: you just need the PUK code and the serial number of your CIE received by the Municipality at the moment of application of your Card.
