With the new CieId app recently available on the Apple and Android app stores you can now easily retrieve the PUK code of your Electronic Identity Card (CIE) online.
The new feature allows to avoid going to the Municipality in case you lose your codes and retrieve the PUK code by yourself in few steps, set a new PIN code and access online services. To find out more, visit the information page or watch the video tutorial.
The new feature has been designed to further simplify the access to online services of the Public Administration through the digital identity associated to your Electronic Identity Card (CIE).
The Electronic Identity Card (CIE) is the identity document of Italian citizens issued by the Ministry of the Interior and produced by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. Thanks to its highly advanced security and anti-counterfeiting features, the Card allows the holder’s physical and digital identity to be verified. The Electronic Identity Card can also be used as an Advanced Electronic Signature device (FEA) to sign digital documents through the CieSign app.
